About Me

Hi There! Hege | Repolished blog

I am Hege, a Norwegian girl living in beautiful San Francisco! Are you already wondering how to pronounce my name? It’s with a G as in get, but not to worry, I won’t get offended if you
mispronounce it.

I live in what I like to refer to as a tiny shoebox of an apartment with my favorite man! He is a tall handsome guy that makes me laugh so much that my stomach aches every single day! No wonder he is my ultimate sidekick :)

I have a Masters of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications and I work in Marketing. Huge shocker, I know. #ilovemyjob

I am a creative and very curious young woman! I My favorite word as a kid was to my parents biggest frustration, why? and why not? And that’s how I now, among many many other things know that Giraffes are mute and how to change a door knob! I am definitely a planner and love everything in list form. However, when I am travelling, my favorite attraction is to get lost in the streets and truly take in the culture of a new place. I am hard working, passionate about what I do and usually have a smile on my face!

I initially started this blog a long time ago to keep friends and family back in Norway up to date on everything and even though it still serves that purpose it has now morphed into something that’s more me. I love sharing my ideas and will always give you my honest opinions on favorite fashion finds, fun DIY projects, my attempt at being healthy and fit, awesome tips, recipes and other fun stuff. Sharing is caring, right?

You want to know even more? Ok, here is a few fun facts about me:

∗  I was born and raised in beautiful Bergen, Norway. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth a visit in May, August or December! Forget about the other months, unless you love rain, lots of rain!

∗  This summer, I ran my first half marathon, which was a huge deal for me. Read more about it here and here.

∗  I love prime time crime shows such as SVU, CSI, The Blacklist, Homeland, and always appreciate a good HBO documentary! My guilty pleasure is reality TV! Housewives anyone? And definitely anything TLC, HGTV and the Bachelor!

∗  I eat pretty healthy and try to stay organic at least 80% of the time, but I usually can’t go long without Dunkin Donuts or Coke… Go figure! And I am starting to believe that an addiction to chocolate is just a given for any woman. The older I get, the more I crave it!

∗  I love to create! Sew, Cook, Craft, Paint, you name it! Except knitting. I don’t know how to knit.

∗  I have two younger brothers, and three stepsisters. Christmas at our house is pretty much loud! But in a good way :)

∗  I have lived in Toulouse, France and one of my favorite memories from that time includes warm fresh croissants with homemade strawberry jam, hot chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice at a sidewalk cafe with people saying oui oui oui, around me :)

∗  By now, you probably get that I am more than average interested in food, but Pizza is my ultimate favorite! If I had to choose one type of food that I had to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Pizza.

∗ I wish cake had the calories of kale…

Oh, and I love confetti shots! Can you tell?

    1. On the cake recipe, you say to leave out some cinnamon, but you omit where to add it back in. the 2nd you say to wipe dough that’s Chinese to me, I never heard that phrase before in baking and last,` You say to add another layer of apples, but you never stated if the dough went in the round dish first and then put slices in and then add more dough then add the last apple slices, you have really confused me, an I have done a lot of baking .Please advise.
